Rules & Regulations:
  • Team Size: Each team will have 4 members.
  • Time Limit: 40 minutes for preparation.
  • Materials: Each team must bring all required materials (colors, flowers, etc.).
  • Registration: Team names must be submitted per the brochure timeline.
Event Description:

Rangoli symbolizes joy and positivity. This event provides a platform to showcase artistic skills through vibrant patterns and meaningful themes.

Face Painting

2. Face Painting

Transform the face into a stunning canvas of imagination.

Rules & Regulations:
  • Theme: Theme will be given on the spot.
  • Team Size: Each team will have two members.
  • Process: Pick a brush and paint the face of your teammate.
  • Safety: Participants must use skin-friendly colors.
  • Materials: Participants must use their own colors and brushes.
  • Time Duration: The time duration will be 1 hour.
  • Judging: A brief explanation of the work must be provided to the judges.

Face Painting is a vibrant and creative competition that encourages participants to showcase their artistic skills through imaginative and expressive designs. The event aims to provide a fun and artistic platform that promotes self-expression and visual creativity in a lively atmosphere.

Singing

3. Sur Sangam (Singing)

Let your voice touch the hearts in this solo and duet competition.

Competition Rounds:
  • Round 1 (Voice of Choice): Perform a song of your choice (Max 4 mins).
  • Round 2 (Track & Identify): Identify a song from its instrumental track and sing a verse.
  • Round 3 (Genre Switch): Sing a song containing a random word provided on stage.
Important Rules:
  • Audio: Only instrumental/karaoke tracks in MP3 format are allowed (No lead vocals).
  • Performance: Live singing is mandatory; lip-syncing or using auto-tune leads to disqualification.
  • Equipment: Only handheld wired microphones provided by organizers will be used.
  • Conduct: Lyrics containing obscene or offensive content are strictly prohibited.

Live Band

4. ROCK SABHA (Battle of Bands)

Rules & Regulations:
  • Eligibility: The event is open to student bands participating as a group.
  • Genres: Bands may perform in genres such as rock, indie, fusion, metal, or alternative.
  • Content: Both original compositions and covers are allowed.
  • Time Limit: Each band must perform within the allotted time limit decided by the organizers.
  • Prohibitions: Use of offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.
  • Judging: Based on originality, musical coordination, stage presence, and overall performance.
Event Description:

Rock Sabha is a flagship musical event of Aura 2026, bringing together talented bands to compete on a high-energy stage. It offers student musicians a powerful platform to showcase technical skills and originality.

Dance

5. Fusion Dance Challenge

Experience the rhythm where classical meets western dance forms.

Competition Rounds:
  • Round 1 (Dual Style Fusion): Perform a single song showcasing at least two distinct styles (e.g., Classical + Hip-Hop).
  • Round 2 (Music Switch Challenge): Teams must instantly adapt their choreography when the music suddenly switches genre mid-performance.
  • Round 3 (Prop Fusion Round): Teams must creatively integrate a prop (dupatta, hat, chair, etc.) into their fusion act.
Rules & Regulations:
  • Audio: Final tracks must be submitted in MP3 format before the deadline; no changes allowed on event day.
  • Props & Costume: Teams must arrange their own props; costumes must be decent and appropriate.
  • Reporting: Teams must report at least 30 minutes before the event starts.
  • Disqualifications: Vulgarity, inappropriate gestures, or use of fire/dangerous materials will lead to immediate disqualification.

Tshirt Painting

  • Materials: Each participant must bring and use their own colors and brushes.
  • Presentation: Participants must explain what the painting symbolizes to the judges panel.

The T-Shirt Painting event is a fun and creative competition that encourages originality and self-expression by transforming plain T-shirts into colorful and meaningful designs using imagination and artistic skills.

Nukkad Natak

7. Street Play (Freeze Rule)

The stage is the street, the voice is yours to bring social change.

Rules & Regulations:
  • Eligibility: Open to engineering students with only one team permitted per institute.
  • Team Size: Each team must consist of 8 to 12 participants, including performers and supporting members.
  • Time Limit: Teams are allotted 10 to 15 minutes, including entry and exit.
  • Content: Plays must be original and focus on socially relevant themes.
  • Language: Performances can be in Hindi, English, or bilingual format.
  • Audio & Props: Only minimal handheld props are allowed; recorded music is prohibited.
  • Sound Effects: Only live effects such as clapping or traditional instruments are permitted.
Event Description:

The Street Play serves as a powerful medium for students to address critical social, national, and ethical concerns. Performed in an open-air area, it encourages storytelling to advocate for positive change.

  • Requirements: Teams must provide their own costumes, make-up, props, and background music.
  • Conduct: Costumes must be decent and non-revealing; vulgarity leads to disqualification.
  • Safety: Use of fire, sharp objects, or hazardous materials is strictly prohibited.
